This Privacy Policy describes how Miqo ("we", "us", "our") — the developer and operator of the Miqo mobile application (the "App") and the website miqo-microlearning.app (the "Website") — collects, uses, and protects your information.

Miqo is a microlearning app: short, focused reads on psychology, self-development, and related topics. We designed it to work with as little personal data as possible.

1. Information we collect

You can use the current version of the App without creating an account. We collect the following categories of information:

• Device and app information: device model, operating system version, app version, language, region, and time zone.
• Anonymous identifiers: a randomly generated installation identifier used to remember your progress and settings. It is not tied to your name, email, or phone number.
• Usage data: in-app events such as screens viewed, topics selected, articles read, bookmarks, reading streaks, and onboarding steps. We use this to operate the App and understand how to improve it.
• Purchase information: if you buy a subscription, the purchase is processed by Apple. We receive subscription status and transaction identifiers from Apple and our subscription-management provider (RevenueCat). We never see or store your payment card details.
• Push notification tokens: only if you allow notifications, so we can send you reminders and updates.
• Support correspondence: if you contact us, we keep the messages and the email address you wrote from, so we can reply.

2. Information we do NOT collect

• We do not require your name, email address, or phone number to use the App.
• We do not collect precise location, contacts, photos, or health data.
• We do not show third-party advertising and do not use advertising networks or trackers.
• We do not sell your personal information to anyone.

3. How we use information

• To provide the App: deliver content, remember your topics, progress, bookmarks, and streaks.
• To process and maintain subscriptions and restore purchases.
• To improve the App: understand which content and features are useful, fix bugs and crashes.
• To send push notifications you have opted into.
• To respond to your support requests.

4. Service providers

We share data only with service providers that are necessary to run the App, and only to the extent needed:

• Apple — processes all payments and subscriptions made through the App Store.
• RevenueCat — manages subscription status across devices.
• Cloud hosting providers — host our servers, databases, and this Website.

These providers process data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

5. Data retention

Usage data and identifiers are kept for as long as needed to operate and improve the App. If you ask us to delete data associated with your installation identifier, we will do so within 30 days, except where we must keep records for legal or accounting reasons (e.g., purchase records).

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete data we hold about you, or to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at the email below. Since we typically cannot identify you personally, we may ask for your installation identifier (available in the App settings) to locate your data.

7. Children

The App is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Security

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and stored with access controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information using industry-standard measures.

9. International transfers

Our servers may be located in different countries. Where data is transferred internationally, we take steps to ensure it remains protected consistent with this Policy.

10. This Website

The Website is informational. It does not set cookies and does not use analytics or tracking scripts.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. The current version is always available at miqo-microlearning.app/privacy, with the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be additionally announced in the App.
