Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Miqo mobile application (the "App") and the website miqo-microlearning.app, operated by Miqo ("we", "us", "our"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. What Miqo is

Miqo is a microlearning app that offers short, editorially prepared reads ("insights") on psychology, self-development, productivity, and related topics, together with features such as topics, bookmarks, reading streaks, and progress tracking.

2. License to use the App

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your own non-commercial purposes on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, in accordance with these Terms and Apple's App Store terms.

3. Subscriptions and payments

Some content and features require a paid subscription. Prices, billing periods, and any free trial terms are shown in the App before purchase.
Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase and is processed entirely by Apple.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your device Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Cancelling stops future renewals; already-paid periods remain active until they expire.
If a free trial is offered, any unused portion of the trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
Refunds are handled by Apple under App Store rules; you can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.

4. Not professional advice

Content in the App is provided for general informational and educational purposes only. It is not medical, psychological, psychotherapeutic, legal, or financial advice, and it is not a substitute for consultation with a qualified professional. If you are experiencing a mental-health crisis or any condition requiring care, please contact a qualified professional or emergency services.

5. Intellectual property

The App, its design, mascot, texts, illustrations, and other content are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. You may not copy, distribute, publicly post, sell, or create derivative works from the App content, except for personal, non-commercial use within the App.

6. Acceptable use

Do not reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App.
Do not use the App in any unlawful way or in violation of these Terms.
Do not attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or interfere with the App's operation.

7. Changes to the App

We are constantly improving Miqo and may add, change, or remove features or content at any time. We may also suspend or discontinue the App, in whole or in part, with reasonable notice where practicable.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted or error-free.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits or data, arising from your use of or inability to use the App. Our total liability for all claims relating to the App shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if you materially breach these Terms. You may stop using the App at any time; deleting the App does not by itself cancel an active subscription (see Section 3).

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version is always available at miqo-microlearning.app/terms. If changes are material, we will notify you in the App. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
